Lopez Cambodian Update

Categories: Updates from the Lopez Family

Greetings in the Name of our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ!  Isn’t it glorious and wonderful to see the hand of God working in the lives of His people all over the earth? We are truly amazed each day by His sovereign grace and how He providentially works all things together for good to those who love Him!

We wanted to give you a brief update on the status of our paper work with the Cambodian government. Just to recap, BJ met with the Director, Mr. Mao, of the Department of Child Welfare under the Ministry of Social Affairs three months ago.  At that time Mr Mao advised BJ on what we needed to request permission from the government to travel with the kids.  We submitted all the requested paperwork over a month ago.  BJ has been checking in weekly and it seems that each time he goes in there is something additional to submit.  Please pray that we would be focused on the glory of God as we walk through this and that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ (Col 4:3) to Mr. Mao and that he would come to know the salvation that comes only through Christ.  On Monday, June 26, BJ will meet with Mr Mao again to submit more paperwork; please pray with us.

On Tuesday, June 27, our church, Shalom, will be having a four day retreat.  BJ and our team mate Nathan will be the speakers to about a hundred kids from four different provinces!  Please pray for BJ and Nate as they minister the Word of God, lifeguard, shepherd, and hang with the youth of Cambodia.  Please pray for the kids that will be coming, that their eyes, ears, and hearts would be tender and open to the Lord’s teaching.

Thank you for your ministry to us and to the work the Lord is doing in Cambodia.  It is our joy and pleasure to labor together for the Glory of God!

Blessings,

BJ and Andrea
