BJ & Andrea Christmas Update

Categories: Updates from the Lopez Family

Christmas Greetings from Cambodia!

“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel who has visited and redeemed his people by raising up a horn of salvation for us . . . that we, being delivered from our enemies, might serve him without fear in holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life.” Luke 1:68-75

This Advent season has us riveted on God and amazed by His powerful work in Zacharias and his faith! After 9 divine, loving, mouth shutting months Zacharias prophecies this stupendous Benedictus! God had his complete attention for 9 months, faithfully taught Zacharias to take God at His Word, and then God gave him this extraordinary assurance to prophesy this promise in the past tense, “God has visited and redeemed”!  Amazing Grace! Truly that is seeing and savoring the glory of God!

In the humble spirit of Christmas we want to apologize for our lack of communication. Please know that you are important to us and we appreciate you, your prayers, and sacrificial love and support to us and the ministry God has given us.
The past year and a half has has been a tumultuous journey and we therefore want to convey some of our struggles so you may have more insight for prayer on our behalf.

  • Bj has been having medical issues over the past 18+ months that have required medical follow up in Thailand. Travel and accommodations are extra expenses that are not covered by our insurance and have added up significantly. $6000 (45602.B)
  • Our personal monthly support has gradually dropped off over time. While all of our regular expenses have been covered over the past year, our support has fallen off substantially that we are not receiving our monthly salary regularly. We are in need of an additional $1800 per month in support. (45602A)
  • Boaz is in need of eye surgery for both eyes (strabismus). This type of surgery requires general anesthesia so will need to be done in Thailand. Boaz is not covered under our insurance plan so the cost for surgery, medical follow up, travel, and accommodations will be approximately $10,000. (45602.B)All contributions are tax-deductible, and you will be sent a receipt for income tax purposes.

You may also call 425-775-4800 to donate and setup automatic donations, or on the web at: (please add a note of the account number with your online donation, either 45602A or 45602.B and the purpose of the gift).

Please make all checks payable to Action International Ministries and mail to:

PO Box 398 Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043-0398

Would you prayerfully consider the above needs and how you might be able to participate?  Could you join our monthly support team? Could you give a sacrificial end of the year gift to offset some the extra expenses we have accrued?

As we celebrate Our Lord’s birth and anticipate His second coming, may the Lord Jesus grant us the ability to taste and see Christ in all His fullness, as Zacharias did, and serve Him without fear in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life. Merry Christmas!

Much Love and Many Blessings,
Bj and Andrea
